About The Heritage Tourist

Hey there! Ever since I learned how to drive, the open road has called me. Wanderlust is just in my blood, I guess. I’m a road tripper. I travel the interstate some, but more often, I get off on the old highways, farm-to-market roads and county roads to visit museums, historic sites, courthouses, main streets, cemeteries, and monuments. While I might have a destination in mind, the route there can take many twists and turns. I’m always curious as to what lies just down and around the bend. It's all part of the adventure. Hopefully, you will visit often to see where I’m headed next. And, just maybe, your curiosity will be piqued also so that you and your family will want to venture out to discover many of the obscure, overlooked and “drive by” heritage sites across Texas and America. (You’ll hear a lot about Texas. It’s where I’ve explored the most, but I’ll also get out to other sites, too.)

So, come along. I hope you will share your adventures, as well. There's always something to see just around the bend!
